dance in the paintings of Pieter Bruegel; the post-mortem dance lament in romantic ballet; the slow death in the dashed hopes of modernist utopias; its dark echo at the end of grand narratives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As noted by the choreographer: \u201cIn every attempt to capture the \u2018after\u2019 we keep coming back to the \u2018before\u2019 that explains the asymmetry between present experience and future expectation. We perceive \u2018ever after\u2019 as a metaphor for what never becomes known after the end of a piece\u2019s life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeInUp&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1620375881722{padding-right: 35px !important;padding-bottom: 35px !important;padding-left: 35px !important;background-color: #f2f2f2 !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;columna4&#8243;][vc_column_text]            <strong>About MARIANNA KAVALLIERATOS<\/strong>\r\n        \r\n        <br><br>\r\n        <p><b>Marianna Kavallieratos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> studied dance and choreography at The Place \u2013 London Contemporary Dance School and continued her studies, with an Onassis Foundation scholarship, at SUNY Purchase College (New York). In 1992, she began her ongoing collaboration with director and visual artist Robert Wilson, at the Watermill Center (New York), performing in productions such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">T. S. Eliot, Une Femme Douce, Persephone, The Days Before DD&amp;D III, Wings on Rock, Prometheus, Relative Light, Alceste<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Christoph Willibald Gluck), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Odyssey<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sonnets<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her choreographic projects have been presented worldwide, in collaboration with prominent institutions and organizations such as the Onassis Cultural Center, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the Spoleto Festival, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the NEON nonprofit organization for most of her major productions: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ever After, Bastet, \u03a4hey, Stations, Recalculate, Auto Run, Moment, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as well as site-specific projects in Athens and New York. Among her life-changing collaborations was the project<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> As One | Marina Abramovic <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Benaki Museum), which was organized by the NEON nonprofit organization, in the context of the long-form feature performance <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skin<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Alongside her artistic work, she has taught contemporary dance and choreography at the Greek National School of Dance, at the Watermill Center in New York, at the Rallou Manou Professional Dance School, as well as at several drama schools in Athens.
