In the context of two characters coexisting in one room, <strong>Akira Yoshida<\/strong> and <strong>Lali Ayguad\u00e9<\/strong> analyze the human being, based on the idea that humans are very complex mechanisms, which we are not even able to understand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This piece is the result of the collaboration between Lali Ayguad\u00e9 &amp; Akira Yoshida, both of them dancers with remarkable international careers. After getting to know each other\u2019s art through workshops, they decided to start working together on different works. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gizaki<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the inspiration for a short film produced in 2021. They were inspired by this work to collaborate again on a new production, this time full-length format, to premiere at the end of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>The performance <\/b><b><i>GIZAKI<\/i><\/b><b> by Lali Ayguad\u00e9 and Akira Yoshida<\/b><b> is presented at the 28th Kalamata Dance Festival with the support of the Embassy of Spain in Athens and the Cervantes Institute.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3701\" src=\"https:\/\/2022.kalamatadancefestival.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/spain_embassy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"89\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3699\" src=\"https:\/\/2022.kalamatadancefestival.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/cervantes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"72\" height=\"89\" \/><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeInUp&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1620375881722{padding-right: 35px !important;padding-bottom: 35px !important;padding-left: 35px !important;background-color: #f2f2f2 !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;columna4&#8243;][vc_column_text]            <strong>About LALI AYGUAD\u00c9 &#038; AKIRA YOSHIDA<\/strong>\r\n        \r\n        <br><br>\r\n        <p><b>LALI AYGUAD\u00c9<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Born in 1980, <\/span><b>Lali Ayguad\u00e9 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trained at the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona and P.A.R.T.S. directed by Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was a full time member of the Akram Khan Company for several productions and she has also collaborated, among other renowned creators, with Hofesh Schechter, Roberto Olivan, Marcos Morau and Bar\u00f3 d\u2019Evel. Since 2013, she is the director of her company, with which she has presented <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kokoro<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iU Mi<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hidden<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, pieces standing between reality and imagination, merging theatricality with dance. She has collaborated with singer Joana Gomila, choreographer Marcos Morau, and dancers \/ choreographers Guilhem Chatir and Akira Yoshida, among others. She has also directed pieces for other companies such as Tanz Bielefeld and Bhodi Project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2010, she was nominated for the award of outstanding dancer by the UK Critics\u2019 Circle and in 2014, for the award of best choreographer. In 2016, she was nominated for best dancer at the Cr\u00edtica Recomana.cat Awards in Barcelona. She has appeared as the leading actress in the short film <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Timecode<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which has been awarded at the Cannes, Goya and Gaud\u00ed Festivals, among others, as well as being shortlisted at the Oscars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>AKIRA YOSHIDA<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Akira Yoshida<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Pamplona, Spain) is a dancer who combines his background in Breaking with contemporary dance and theatre. Starting out as a street performer, he went on to study dance at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), after receiving the main artistic grant of the government of Navarre. Since then, he has worked for companies such as QuieroTeatro, Roberto Oliv\u00e1n Performing Arts, Hungry Sharks, Physical Momentum, Lali Ayguad\u00e9 Company, Ceren Oran, etc. He has also worked with Yoann Bourgeois for Louis Vuitton\u2019s 2022 fashion show, and with Julyen Hamilton\u2019s company for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allen\u2019s Line<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He has co-created the award-winning duets <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hito<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Chey Jurado, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gizaki<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Lali Ayguad\u00e9, as well as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ahotsak<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Ziomara Hormaetxe. He has also created two solos; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Home<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Burial of the Bark<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
